Reconstruction Experts, Inc. provides specialized property services to homeowners’ associations and other property owners through eight offices in Colorado, California, Texas, and Florida. The Company’s service offering includes construction defect services, specialty construction services, and insurance/emergency services for occupied spaces, primarily multifamily and commercial developments.
Case Study
In 2013, Linx partnered with the management team of Reconstruction Experts to acquire a majority interest in the Company from its original founder. Post-transaction, Linx worked with management to implement a number of strategic and operational improvement initiatives. Those initiatives were focused around the professionalization of the governance, operations, and back-office of the Company including enhancing HR procedures, hiring of an experienced Linx CFO, restructuring of incentives, and the addition of a value-added outside board member. Under Linx’s ownership, the Company expanded into new geographies and service lines through both acquisition and organic initiatives.
In 2021, Linx successfully exited the business and Reconstruction Experts was sold to a strategic acquirer after increasing its value over five-fold.
