Case Study

In 2007, Linx partnered with the McBride family in a recapitalization transaction designed to provide partial liquidity to the family and allow the family to exit day-to-day management of the business. Linx hired new senior management to lead the Company shortly after the transaction.  In 2008, the Company was adversely impacted by a precipitous drop in customer spending on data and technological services as a result of the global economic recession. As a result, Linx implemented significant cost savings initiatives, closed multiple unprofitable facilities, rationalized the workforce and consolidated branch offices. Despite significant efforts by Linx and management, in 2010 the decision was made to divest individual branches of the Company and close the corporate operation.
