Gullett Holdings, Inc. is a leading provider of oil and gas pipeline services in the Gulf Coast and southeastern United States. Based in Houston, TX, with over 50 years of operational history, the Company provides survey, drafting, and right-of-way acquisition services to many of the major midstream energy infrastructure owners and operators.
Case Study
Linx partnered with Jerry Copeland and his family in a recapitalization transaction designed to provide partial liquidity and a path to retirement for Mr. Copeland. Additionally, the Company was in need of capital, guidance, and additional resources in order to scale and exploit the opportunities available in the build-out of U.S. midstream oil & gas infrastructure. During the first year, Linx helped the Company complete a number of administrative initiatives, including conversion to audited GAAP financial reporting, creation of a budgeting process, expansion of the accounting department, and the development of a proprietary mobile field activity/time reporting technology. The latter of these initiatives improved the Company’s working capital cycle and allowed an eventual geographic expansion into the Midwest. Gullett was also suffering from a lack of capacity in its current facility, so a major relocation project was undertaken and completed in early 2016.
In 2021, Linx and management successfully sold their equity interests to a strategic buyer.
