Case Study
In 2007, Linx partnered with John Moore and Terry Hill in a recapitalization transaction designed to provide partial liquidity and expand the Company’s product offering and geographic reach. In the first years of ownership, Linx and management worked together to implement lean manufacturing, build out the sales force and strengthen the financial department and forecasting tools. In 2009, the Company endured a severe natural gas recession; however, management and Linx continued to invest in the business’s engineering, product development and sales staff. In 2010 and 2011, Cimarron quickly rebounded from the recession and had taken significant share across the US.
In 2013, Cimarron was sold to a public company. The business at the time of sale had diversified its product offering by end market, doubled the number of basins served, grown a successful environmental product line, and had doubled in EBITDA.
